Application integration, coordination
of computer applications has a notion of nearly impossible,
very complex and hard to maintain. Enterprise application
integration involves developing a new total view of
a business seeing how existing applications fit into
the new view, and then efficiently reuse what exists
while adding new applications and data.
|
|
The application of a simple discovery:
similar solutions and patterns, evolving in building
more |
|
and more software systems,
is the principle architecture for Complete Consulting
1.0.
The style of this architecture promotes reuse at the
service (macro) level rather than the macro, the object
level. The reuse of existing systems and building real
dependencies brings the product into a state of affairs
in which one system is functionally dependent on the
other. These are the service units, interacting software
agents desired to be loosely coupled by definition of
Service Oriented Architecture. A reusable web service
cuts an average 30% development time for a new application
that needs to incorporate employee data. |
|
By the idea of SOA - decoupling
of data and its processing, we will achieve this extensible
services any time as the architecture used to develop
the tool is SOA (Service Oriented Architecture). This
flexible mechanism enables the consumer to discover a
service provider under the context of a service desired
by him. |

Web Services, generally
accepted as a SOA with a few additional constraints such
as interface dependency on Internet protocols and extensible
markup dependencies for the messages. SOAP web services
introduce an additional layer of complexity - messages
carried by SOAP and description of services in WSDL.
an XML language for describing Web Services. |
|
REST services are very effective
because HTTP is the most widely available interface,
and serves most applications. Sometimes, this outweighs
the complexity of introducing an additional transport
layer. |

|
|
As this web service effort
evolves, Complete Consulting has created its version
of SOA built on a component collection that provides
simple and reusable interfaces for incorporating data
into the application from various sources. |
It will enable our clients
to access and work with employee and project related
information stored in disparate content management systems
directly from within our app. The information can emerge
from numerous data sources and application from other
vendors. Including Hummingbird, Microsoft, Oracle, Open
Text and CRM applications. |
REST services are very effective
because HTTP is the most widely available interface,
and serves most applications. Sometimes, this outweighs
the complexity of introducing an additional transport
layer. |
Similarly going the other
way, by exposing our web services we can also receive
data in the required format. Invoices, for example can
be submitted by external systems by implementing our
service, which reduces the data entry effort with the
paper invoices or even invoices through email. |
